Gold Plated

Why gold plating?

At Mogra always strive to provide the product with the highest possible quality and value, so when we offer products in a rich golden color, gold itself is used in the production line.

By coating a thin layer of gold, we reach the look of the original gold, which is known for its precious value, luxury, and distinctive bright color.

There are various chemical methods for coating products in golden color, but there is nothing is better but the gold itself in terms of strength and quality of color. When coating products with Pure 24 karat gold, you will receive a valuable decorative piece in the color of the original gold.

Gold electroplating process?

  1. Firstly, the product enters the purification stage, it is a stage in which any dust or dirt on the product is removed and the metal is made sure that it is free of all impurities, as its deposition on the piece will prevent the gold layer from adhering in a strong and solid manner.
  2. A thin layer of high-quality nickel is coated over the base metal, in order to protect the gold layer from any effects or interactions with the base metal.
  3. The products are placed in the containers filled with gold material, and a certain amount of positive electric charge is used to melt the gold onto the base metal.
  4. once the required thickness of the gold layer is reached, the products are hung in customized drying areas.
  5. We insert the products into their oven to expose them to a high temperature to install an additional protective layer that makes them more resistant to friction and scratching.

The purpose of gold plating is to be permanent and to last for a long time, the plating itself does not fade over the time but like all types of plating, it may be affected when exposed to rubbing and scratching, and generally the plating can last for many years with proper maintenance and care (see care page)
